American bookmakers brought a record amount to the US economy
Gambling brought 10% more profit than usual to the American economy during the three years ( from 2014 to 2017)
Such conclusions were shared by the Oxford Economics agency.
With a research conducted by its experts it is known now that the total revenue from betting and gambling amounted to $ 40.8 billion. The contribution from gambling for the last year, according to the research, was $ 261 billion.
It included states in which betting had already been legalized by 2017. Among them, Nevada, Delaware and New Jersey.
Supposedly, the growth of indicators is associated with an increase in the costs of casinos visitors. The research notes that 1.8 million Americans are employed in the field of gambling and about 700 thousand of founders made tax deductions, thereby replenishing the country’s coffers.
According to analysts, the profitability of gambling in the US will only grow together with the number of states where betting will be officially authorized.
It is reported that the government allocated $ 8 billion to social security of citizens.
