Kazakhstan’s treasury income from gambling business has exceeded all expectations

After tightening the requirements for bookmakers by the government of Kazakhstan, tax deductions to the country’s treasury from gambling have reached a new level.

It must be recalled that in March of the current year Arystanbek Muhamediuly, the Minister of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan, insisted on increasing the tax rate for the gambling business and use this money for social projects and sports development

As of September 1, 2018, the treasury of Kazakhstan received 23 million tenge as tax payments from representatives of the gambling business, which is two times more compared to the same period last year. Such dynamics are directly related to imposed sanctions on bookmakers and a twofold increase in the tax rate for the gambling business.

In 2019, the government of Kazakhstan wants to bring gambling in the country to a new level, due to amendments in current legislation. The main task of the government is to create favorable conditions for investment and the development of new gambling zones.
