Modric is 2018 Golden Ball winner!

Real Madrid and Croatian national team midfielder Luka Modric won the Golden Ball 2018.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who didn’t attend the award ceremony, got the second place. The French striker Antoine Griezmann is third.

In 2018, 33-year-old Luka Modric helped Real Madrid to win the Champions League for the third time in a row, becoming the best player of the tournament.

Also, as part of the Croatian national team Modric reached the 2018 World Cup final, where his team lost to France with a score of 2:4. After the Mundial in Russia, Modric was named FIFA best player of the year.

The 23-year-old Norwegian Ada Hegerberg, who plays for Lyon, has become the first woman to win the Golden Ball in women’s football today in Paris. And also the “Kopa Trophy” which is the prize for the best U-21 player was represented for the first time and expectedly won by Kylian Mbappe.
