PSV-Inter forecast. Champions League
Tomorrow, on Wednesday, October 3, PSV and Inter will face-off against each other in the 2nd round of the Champions League group stage.
The head coach position has changed in PSV this summer – Mark van Bommel ascended to the coaching role to replace Philip Cocu. A coaching rearrangement has a great effect on the team so far. PSV made a brilliant start to the new Eredivisie campaign – 7 wins in 7 matches. And what is even more interesting: the goal difference – 26: 3! PSV in Holland now is like PSG in France.
The new coach has rebuilt the team a little, so now Eindhoven usually use 4-2-3-1 scheme with two very interesting defensive midfielders who are the backbone of the system: Jorrit Hendrix and Pablo Rosario. I would also like to note that PSV decently added to the game without the ball. All the urgency in attack is on Irving Lozano, who was very impressive on the World Cup in Russia, and experienced Luuk de Jong. I think that with such a steep performance (even on Eredivisie level), the hosts will make their eminent opponent grieving at least once.
Moreover, Inter is far from flawless in defense. In Seria A, Luciano Spalletti’s side already has 2 defeats in the starting seven rounds. But, in general, this updated Inter makes a very pleasant impression. Nerazzurri got a cool strong-willed victory in the 1st round of the Champions League at home against Tottenham (2: 1), and it’s logical they are considered favorites of this matchup, especially after PSV’s without-a-chance loss in the hands of Barcelona (0: 3).
So, in general, I think there will be quite a funny game with goals from both teams.
Bet: Both will score – 1.62
