UEFA may introduce VAR in the Champions League already this season

UEFA plans to introduce VAR system in the Champions League matches already this season.

British newspaper The Times wrote about this yesterday. According to their information, a decision to introduce video replays in the Champions League from the 1/8 final stage will be made on December, 3 at the UEFA organizing committee meeting.

VAR system will also be used in the final tournament of UEFA Nations League, which will be held in June 2019 in Portugal.

In Europa League, VAR will be established only from 2019/20 season. However, it’s possible that VAR will be used in the final of the current draw.
