YouTube to block gambling advertising channels

World Video Hosting YouTube will tighten its policy towards the channels that advertise gambling.

The monitoring service of video hosting will pay close attention to the channels with online casinos and bookmakers advertising.

It became known that on September 20, 2018 there were massive blockages of YouTube channels among which there were popular sites such as: Versus Battle, AcademeG, Garage 54, AuRuM TV, YES NIL.

After a while the channels regained their work and their owners received warnings. In the case of such violations and hidden advertising of bookmakers, the resources will be blocked or even deleted.

It’s necessary to recall that in July this year, YouTube’s moderators have blocked several popular channels for advertising bookmakers.

In response, the State Duma’s Youth Parliament has prepared a bill that allows you to block websites advertising online casinos in pre-trial order. The proposal has already been sent to the State Duma’s information policy committee.
